When I take a trip somewhere, I NEED to bring forth my makeup brushes. That'due south one of my non-negotiables. I literally never exit domicile without them — literally…unless I forget them at dwelling house. 🙂 Which has happened.
It was a few summers ago… El Hub and I collection up to visit family in Redding, which is a couple hundred miles north up near the Oregon edge.
As luck would have it, I completely spaced out and forgot to bring my brushes (!), so the starting time thing nosotros did when we got in that location was go on an emergency brush run.
Never mind using a restroom or saying hi to relatives later four long hours on the road. All I could remember was, "Have me to the mall! Stat!"
If I'd had one or 2 of these Nudestix Magnetic Matte Eye Colors with me, I probably would take freaked out less. They're long-lasting $24 cream shadow pencils. They come in 10 neutral shades, and y'all don't demand to utilise blending brushes with them (although you can if you want).
If yous striking the road a lot or often observe yourself doing your makeup in the dorsum of a cab or in the ladies' room before work, I've got ane word for yous: Nudestix. All of their makeup comes in either stick or pencil course, and y'all can blend them with a finger (or a brush), then they're completely not fussy. They also take a wide selection of colors for different skin tones, too, and everything is cruelty-free.
These fix in about 3 or 4 minutes, which gives me enough time to blend out the edges. I don't ever experience rushed. Most of the time, afterward drawing a few strokes on my lids (I don't have to apply much considering they're packed with pigment), I vitrify out the edges with a finger (or a MAC 217 if i's handy).
Speaking of MAC now, a few of the Magnetic Matte shades could pass for nigh-dupes of some of my favorite MAC matte shadows, similar Putty, which looks a trivial like matte beige Brule, and warm brownish Terra, which reminds me of MAC Soft Dark-brown. Oh, and warm brown Fig kindasorta looks like MAC Swiss Chocolate.
If you lot happen to not have a deep crease (if you've been reading the blog for a while, you probably know that I'k not a fan of the term "hooded eyes"), and you tin't e'er tell where to place your crease color, these could be perfect for you because you lot tin merely draw with them exactly where you want to.
I like to sharpen them first to make them nice and precise (they even come with a sharpener that attaches directly to the stick). Then I depict and chop-chop alloy.
Because the formula is creamy, I'm in consummate control over how high upwardly and how far out I accept the product.
So GENIUS.
If you've had your conviction shaken by shadow because of past struggles with placement, these sticks volition change everything.
Getting a spring on the weekend
Don't even get me started on this drawer… It's in my kitchen, and it drives me completely bonkers! I keep the Tupperware in information technology, simply hardly any of them take matching lids, so I can never observe 1 to really use.
Basically, information technology's been driving me crazy for longer than I care to admit.
Anyway, I program to bargain with that drawer tonight… I got these replacement nutrient storage thingies that are from a make called Sistema (found them at Marshalls). The boxes snap shut, and they stack on top of each other, which I'm hoping means that I won't have to dig through that evil drawer to observe lids anymore.
And these are the days of my life, LOL! Aye, I get excited virtually weird things. 🙂
Whatcha up to? I'm near to paint my toenails considering they need some TLC.
